Meet the Partner: Charis Marr, In Good Wealth

For many women rebuilding their lives in the UAE, money is a conversation they don't quite know where to start. Not because information isn't available, but because so much of it comes in the form of a sales pitch or a spreadsheet, with very little room in between for someone to simply understand where they stand and what they want their future to look like.

That is exactly where HerSphere's newest Featured Partner, Charis Marr, comes in.

Who Charis Marr is

Charis Marr is the co-founder of In Good Wealth, alongside Shana Doherty. Together, they are on a mission to make financial wellbeing more accessible, human and relevant to everyday life.

Charis brings experience across banking and financial services in the UK, Australia and the UAE, including working with major financial institutions such as HSBC, FAB and Wio Bank. Through her experience in the industry, she recognised that financial decisions are about much more than products, numbers and investment strategies. They need to reflect people's individual circumstances, priorities and aspirations.

This perspective led her towards financial coaching and a more holistic approach to helping people understand their relationship with money and how their financial choices can support the life they want to build.

A different approach to financial wellbeing

At the heart of In Good Wealth is the Prosperity Power 5™ framework, which looks at five interconnected pillars of financial wellbeing: Earn, Save, Grow, Spend and Protect.

Rather than treating these as separate financial decisions, the framework encourages people to step back and look at their financial lives as a whole. You might be earning well but struggling to save, investing without a clear long-term plan, or managing everyday expenses without feeling financially secure. Understanding how these areas connect can help you identify where to focus your attention first.

The brand's first digital product, The Money Check In, is a self-guided seven-day programme designed to help people reflect on their financial habits, priorities and overall financial wellbeing. It provides a structured starting point for understanding where you are today and what you may want to change, without requiring you to share financial documents or detailed figures.

In Good Wealth's work extends beyond its digital programme. Charis and Shana also deliver financial wellbeing workshops, workplace sessions, speaking engagements and community initiatives, helping individuals and organisations make financial education a more accessible part of everyday life.

Their approach is about creating space for people to ask questions, reflect on their circumstances and develop a healthier, more confident relationship with money.

Money Talks: Opening up the conversation

Charis and Shana also host the Money Talks podcast, where they explore financial wellbeing, our relationship with money and the decisions that shape our lives.

Through their conversations, they aim to make money less intimidating and encourage people to look beyond traditional measures of financial success. Earning more or accumulating wealth doesn't automatically mean feeling financially secure. Understanding your priorities, recognising your habits and making informed decisions are equally important parts of the picture.

Their podcast is another way they are bringing these conversations into the open, challenging assumptions and helping people approach their finances with greater awareness and confidence.

It's a message that resonates particularly strongly with women navigating change, making difficult decisions or rethinking what financial security means to them.

Why it matters for the HerSphere community

At HerSphere, we know that rebuilding your life often means reassessing your finances, making difficult decisions and thinking about your future in ways you may never have expected.

For women navigating the loss of a partner, separation, a career change or a new beginning in another country, financial questions can feel particularly overwhelming. There may be decisions to make about income, savings, housing, work and long-term security, often while dealing with significant emotional changes at the same time.

Knowing where to begin can be just as important as knowing whom to ask for advice.

Financial wellbeing coaching can provide a valuable starting point, helping women understand their priorities, identify gaps in their knowledge and feel more confident about the next steps they want to take. Where specialist support is needed, qualified financial advisers, accountants and legal professionals can help with specific decisions.

Through our partnership with Charis and In Good Wealth, HerSphere is expanding its network of professionals and resources to help women approach these questions with greater clarity and confidence.

Because rebuilding your life isn't just about getting through today. It's also about creating a future in which you feel secure, informed and able to make choices for yourself.

What's next?

Charis is joining forces with fellow HerSphere partner Carla De Silvo of Finsbury Wealth for our upcoming session, Building Financial Confidence for Your Next Chapter.

Taking place at The Bureau, Opera Grand, during the week commencing 9 November, the session will bring together financial wellbeing and financial expertise to help women explore their relationship with money, understand their priorities and take practical steps towards greater financial confidence.

We're delighted to welcome Charis to the HerSphere community and look forward to the conversations, learning opportunities and support this partnership will bring.

Welcome to HerSphere, Charis!
